In the framework of the Unite! staff training actions Politecnico organized two workshops online on 18 and 25 November on the topic of the Universities contribution to the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Theworkshops were held by Ms. Chiara Genta, architect, research fellow at the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST) and collaborator of the Politecnico Green Team.
The idea behind the workshops is that higher education institutions can support and contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the achievement of the related 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The areas of contribution include teaching, research, organizational governance, culture and operations.
The first workshop introduced the contribution of universities in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda and in identifying possible areas of intervention. The second workshop focused on mapping methodologies and tools for evaluating the impact of activities, through a hands-on session in which participants were asked to discuss and test the presented approaches.
The workshops were for administrative staff involved in activities such as cataloguing projects and drafting project proposals and reports. 18 staff members of the Unite! Universities signed up for the workshops from different areas: Academic Services, International Relations; Planning and Projects; Technology Transfer; Innovation and Community; Sustainability.
